OBITUARY: U.S. Army veteran James A. DePrizito, 80, of Palm Bay, died June 16

After the army, Jim joined the Lynn Fire Department where he was employed until his retirement as a captain.

James A. (Depo) DePrizito, formerly of Lynn, MA., 80, (1942-2022) recently of Palm Bay, FL, returned home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, June 16, 2022 He died away from cancer at home with his wife by his side.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FL – James A. (Depo) DePrizito, formerly of Lynn, MA., 80, (1942-2022) recently of Palm Bay, FL, has returned home to be with his Lord and Savior , Jesus Christ on June 16, 2022. He died of cancer at home with his wife by his side.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Ruthann DePrizito, of Palm Bay, Florida. He also leaves behind his son David DePrizito of Lynn, MA, his daughter-in-law Tracey Rossetti and her husband Dave of Lynn, MA, his son-in-law Peter B. Phelan, Jr. of Carlisle, PA and his daughter-in-law Jill Hazard and her husband Brian of Ormond Beach, FL.

Jim also leaves behind his brother John DePrizito and his wife Sandra of Somersworth, NH, his brother Frank DePrizito and his wife Veronica, of Murphy NC, his sister-in-law Marie DePrizito of Salem, MA, his sister-in-law Sue A. Kyer and her husband. Rick of Lodi, Ohio and his brother-in-law James Vickers of Medina, Ohio. Also several much loved nieces and nephews.

Jim was predeceased by his son James A. DePrizito, his brother Anthony DePrizito, his brother Joseph DePrizito and his sister-in-law Donna L. Vickers.

Jim and Ruthann shared the blessing of nine grandchildren. Anthony, Armani, Chris, Crystal, Alissa, Caitlyn, Kirsten, Tyler and Trey. They were also blessed with four great-grandchildren. James, Laci, John and Charlie Josephine.

Jim is a US Army veteran. After the Army, Jim joined the Lynn Fire Department where he was employed until his retirement as the H-1 Captain in 2000.

He then moved to Palm Bay, Florida, where he worked for the Mallards Landing golf course in the city of Melbourne. He fully retired in 2012.

Jim enjoyed working in his garden, playing golf, fishing and cooking. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
