BTS’s Suga Tests Positive For COVID After Returning From The United States; ARMY Trends “Get well soon”


Considered one of the biggest bands in the world, BTS member Min Yoon-gi was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus after returning to Korea. The singer was stationed in the United States and returned to his home country where he was undergoing mandatory self-quarantine. After her diagnosis, BigHit, the group’s company, released a statement briefing fans on her health.

BTS Suga tested positive for COVID

According to the statement released by BigHit, the 28-year-old singer was confirmed positive for COVID on December 24 during the mandatory PCR test upon arrival in Korea. The statement read, “BTS member Suga was confirmed with COVD-19 on Friday, December 24 during his self-quarantine after passing the PCR test immediately upon his return to Korea on Thursday, December 23.”

In addition, the singer took the second dose of vaccination at the end of August. The statement also revealed that the singer tested negative before traveling from the United States. They continued, “ Suga completed his second round of COVID-19 vaccination at the end of August and has no symptoms to date. He currently administers personal care at home as directed by health authorities. ”

They added: ” Suga, who had a number of personal engagements in the United States during official leave from BTS, tested negative for the PCR test taken before traveling to the United States and began his self-quarantine after passing the PCR test on his return to Korea. He received positive results during quarantine and there was no contact with other members. The company puts the health of artists at the top of its priorities and we will do all we can to help Suga recover quickly. We will also cooperate diligently with requests and directives from health authorities. ”

It wasn’t long before BTS fans, known as ARMY, started to kick off the “Get well soon Yoongi” trend on Twitter. One fan wrote: ‘Get well soon, Yoongi! Take this time to rest and eat well, we will all be thinking of you! “While another wrote:” Pray for your speedy recovery Get well soon Yoongi, my love. You are a strong person. I know you will be fine. The ARMY is always there by your side. ”
