Army veteran Frederick T. Specht of Pawtucket dies at 77

Frederick T. Specht, 77, of Harrison Street, Pawtucket, died Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.

Born in Central Falls, the son of the late Frederick G. and the late Mary C. (Kuras) Specht, he had lived most of his life in Pawtucket.

Mr. Specht worked as a patient aide at Wrentham State School, retiring in 2004. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a former commanding officer of Elwood Euart Post 602, VFW, Pawtucket, and a member of former Fierlet-Korzen Post 79, American Legion, Central Falls.

He is survived by his daughter, Hope Specht of North Providence; his son, Frederick G. Specht, and his wife Julie, of Lincoln; three, grandchildren, Riley Specht, Caden Specht and Jada Specht; his brother, John Specht, and his wife Elaine, of Bristol; his niece and nephew, Greg Specht and Christine Gorton; his grand-nephews, Jacob Gorton and Zachary Gorton, and his beloved cat, Calie.

Parents and friends are invited during visiting hours on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln.

Interment with military honors at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter will be private.
