Daniel Heiwig, a member of the officer class of the army, pledges to prevent any form of socialism from taking hold of our country.

Daniel Heiwig is a committed and proud Hoosier Patriot who continues to serve in the United States Army for over 20 years as an infantry officer and enlisted soldier. He is the husband of Lori ‘Brackemyre’ Heiwig and the father of Leah (12) and Hailey (9). Their youngest daughter Hailey is homeschooled by Lori.

After graduating from Seymour High School in 2001, Dan Heiwig enlisted in the United States Army. While in college, Dan served in the Indiana National Guard and attended Vincennes University, IUPUC, Ivy Tech in Columbus as an enlisted soldier.

Dan Heiwig holds an MBA from a Christian University in Oakland City, Indiana. In 2008, Dan Heiwig was accepted into the Indiana Military Academy Class 55-09 Officer Candidate School. Dan chose the infantry for his military branch, became flight qualified, and was trained by the largest leadership organization at Ft. Benning.

Over the past 20 years, Major Heiwig has served with distinction in a diverse set of missions that required special selection and special training. All missions were for external and internal operations that fought against direct threats to the United States. Dan deployed on many missions and was tested in the fires of combat by being awarded the combat infantry badge of the famous “Band of Brothers Unit” of the 506th Infantry Regiment of the 4th Brigade Combat Team of the 101st Airborne Division while deployed to Ghazni, Afghanistan. Dan is an honored recipient of the coveted National Infantry Association Order of Saint Maurice Medal of Chief of Infantry, United States Army for demonstrating significant contribution in infantry support; and must represent the highest standards of integrity, morality, professional competence and devotion to duty.

Dan’s last assignment was for the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), as a Human Dynamics Analysis (HDA) team leader. He was the original creator of CENTCOM’s HDA capabilities, an artificial intelligence network based on cognitive conscious group mind and artificial general intelligence system. HDA reached initial operational capability in February 2020. Its recent efforts focus on expanding the cognitive artificial intelligence software platform that provides the United States government with superior capabilities to simulate and model the process of taking decision of enemies.

After the announcement of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, Dan was transferred to Fort. Knox, KY with the Army Reserves Careers Group for operational research and analysis of projects to save the Army from the loss of military professionals and increase troop retention.

Upon retirement, Dan and Lori plan to raise their two daughters in Seymour Indiana and focus on helping the community and their church. Dan Heiwig will continue to serve his country by serving the Southern Indiana Hoosiers and reclaiming American heritage!
